22 Anticipated Jan-June 2021 Releases

Posted December 23, 2020 by Kate

hello, loves!

And happy end-of-2020 to you!! What a wonderful thing to celebrate, am I right? ??? 2021 just has to be better, right?? I’ll finally not be living with my parents, and there are so many lovely books on their way!!

I really tried to keep this post as tidy as possible, as I really want to focus on reading some of the books I already own on my physical TBR in 2021. I have a lot of books that I’m anticipating, however, including some that I know I’m forgetting! Here is a shortlist of books that I’m excited about ?

What book releases are you anticipating in 2021?

January 2021

Roommate by Sarina Bowen Jan 12, 2021 (Goodreads | Amazon) — This may be one of my anticipated books of 2021!!!! It’s an MM second-chance roomies romance whose description just speaks to my soul!! Ahhhh I’m so excited :)

Blood Heir by Ilona Andrews Jan 12, 2021 (Goodreads | Amazon) — Now this may also be one of my most anticipated reads of the year!! Any IA book is an auto-buy-and-read for me. This follows Julie in a spinoff from the Kate Daniels series, which is one of my fave series ever!!

Winterkeep by Kristin Cashore Jan 19, 2021 (Goodreads | Amazon) — This was a pretty surprising release, I remember absolutely screaming when I saw this announcement on my Instagram feed! I’m very nervous about this because I was so happy with the original trilogy. We’ll see.

Invitation by Vi Keeland Jan 18, 2021 (Goodreads | Amazon) — This book just sounds like pure fun! Stella meets Hudson, who is a gorgeous groomsman at the weddings she’s crashing. They had a great connection… until he found out she wasn’t who she said she was. She fled… but left her phone behind! Guess who found it?

The Haunting of Beatrix Greene: Vol 1 by Rachel Hawkins – Jan 7th, 2021 (Goodreads | Amazon) — I haven’t read a Rachel Hawkins book since the Hex Hall series! This is sold as a Sherlock-Holes-esque story with magic, death, and desire ✨ I’m in!

February 2021

A Court of Silver Flames by Sarah J. Maas Feb. 16, 2021 (Goodreads | Amazon) — ONE OF MY MOST ANTICIPATED READS!!  I’m so excited for Cassian’s book!! I don’t know how I feel about Nesta, but by god do I want to follow Cassiana ??

Quiet in Her Bones by Nalini Singh Feb. 2021 (Goodreads | Amazon) — Also one of my most anticipated reads this year!! They’re all in the first half of the year, I swear ? Ms. Singh is one of my top two favorite authors eVAH! This is her second thriller installment, and after the rousing success of book one, I’m so excited!

Still Standing by Kristen Ashley Feb 2, 2021 (Goodreads | Amazon) — Kristen Ashley is one of my favorite cozy authors. She makes it hard to keep up on her releases – she did publish 11 books in 2020 alone! – but boy do I try! I adore the Chaos series, and this spinoff sounds amazing!

March 2021

Act Your Age, Eve Brown by Talia Hibbert March 9, 2021 (Goodreads | Amazon) — I haven’t read a Talia Hibbert book yet, but they are two of my top priorities for 2021! Plus, this one sounds soooo good! Plus it follows a bed-and-breakfast owner!! ??? Plus an added sunshine v. grump trope! I’m into this in a big way.

Wild Wind by Kristen Ashley March 9, 2021 (Goodreads | Amazon) — This is a Chaos series Novella and it sounds so good!!!! I love a second-chance romance, even with a non-meet-cute such as meeting at her mother’s funeral. But it still sounds so sweet ?

Marriage and Murder by Penny Reid March 2, 2021 (Goodreads | Amazon) — Penny Reid is one of my faves! And this one is book two in Cletus’s own detective series. He’s my fave Winston brother (although it’s a close call…?!) so I will absolutely be keeping up this year.

April 2021

      GR no cover

Crown of Gilded Bones by Jennifer L. Armentrout April 20, 2021 (Goodreads | Amazon) — I want to read Blood and Ash so! badly! but I’m on a buying ban for now, soooooo…. ? but that being said, I really do want to read this trilogy and its conclusion in 2021!

Lover Unveiled by JR Ward April 20, 2021 (Goodreads | Amazon) — I’m not caught up in the Black Dagger Brotherhood (BDB) … unfortunately… but that’s my goal! To someday get caught up ??? We’ll see!

ACOTAR #3.2 by Sarah J. Maas April 1, 2021 (Goodreads) — I’m Rhysand/Feyre trash!!! I don’t know who or what this novella follows, but it will be in my hands on April 1st. And if it is a foolish prank, then someone better pony-up a story.

Life’s too Short by Abby Jiminez April 6, 2021 (Goodreads | Amazon) — I freakin’ adored The Friend Zone and really enjoyed the follow-up The Happy-Ever-After Playlist, so I’m sure that I’ll love this one, too. But a new-mom, neighbor romance? I’m soooooo ready for this. ??

May 2021

  ,

One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston – May 6, 2021 (Goodreads | Amazon) — After the glory that was Red, White, and Royal Blue, I’m expecting really great things from this one! Namely for it to be absolutely hilarious, intelligent, and full of highlighter marks :)

Blade of Secrets by Tricia Levenseller – May 4, 2021 (Goodreads | Amazon) — Honestly, this one sounds. I enjoy Levenseller’s quick, sassy writing style in a genre pooling with more drawn-out plotlines.

Mister Impossible by Maggie Stiefvater – May 18, 2021 (Goodreads | Amazon) — I really don’t feel that I need to explain this one ?? Big Stiefvater fan here!! Mostly, a big Ronan Lynch fan ??

Dream Spinner by Kristen Ashley – May 25, 2021 (Goodreads | Amazon) — I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the Dream Team books so far in KA’s new series! They hark back to the Rock Chick days of old, and I’ve loved my time back with the gang :)

June 2021

Grace and Glory by Jennifer L. Armentrout – June 1, 2021 (Goodreads | Amazon) — JLA is an author I would love to get reacquainted with throughout 2021. I’m a Daemon Black stan! from her Lux days, but haven’t read a new book of hers in years, probably since The Problem with Forever.

Better Together by Christine Riccio – June 1, 2021 (Goodreads | Amazon) — a “Parent Trap” / magical realism-esque story? I’ve not read a Riccio story, despite occasionally watching her videos for years, so I’m hoping this will be the one I pick up!

Claimed by JR Ward – June 8, 2021 (Goodreads | Amazon) — I’m sorry… a JR WARD SERIES FOLLOWING WEREWOLVES!!!?? Hell ?? Yes ??? I can’t wait for this… but that means I have to catch up on the BDB series.

Seasons of Chaos by Elle Cosimano– June 8, 2021 (Goodreads | Amazon) — The first book in this series sounds absolutely captivating, so I’ll definitely be interested in checking this series out and, hopefully, continuing!
