hello, dreamers!

It’s Tuesday, and this week I’m participating in a Top Ten Tuesday prompt! The last time I did this was when I think I did my Spring TBR…. but, well, I didn’t do too well on that one. In my defense, Spring went to hell. I’m hoping summer is a bit better! This was actually last week’s prompt, so sorry about that. Time got away from me!

1. The Happy Ever After Playlist by Abby Jimenez

I absolutely loved, loved, loved Abby’s debut novel, The Friend Zone, so I have high expectations for this one!! It follows Sloan, in a post-breakup funk, who finds an adorable pup. A few weeks later… the owner (a musician on tour) reaches out and he wants Tucker, the dog, back. But Sloan doesn’t want to give him up. A texting / epistolary flirtation ensues… which is definitely my favorite trope ? (possibly) (Goodreads | Amazon)

2. Dream Maker by Kristen Ashley

Kristen Ashley writes some of my favorite contemporary romances, and I have no doubt this one will be any different. Featuring a nerdy-intelligent girl going back to college for engineering, and “alpha bad boy” Mag, who hides his pain behind jokes, I know this will be a one-sit read that I will adore. (Goodreads | Amazon | Review of KA book)

3. Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake by Sarah MacLean

I’ve seen this book around a lot in my years as a blogger. When Suzanne @ Under the Covers Book Blog posted about it on her Instagram, I decided that this would definitely be the summer I’d read it! And I bought it, so it has to happen now! Right? Isn’t that how that works? ? (Goodreads | Amazon)

4. The Beach Read by Emily Henry

The Beach Read by Emily Henry arrived in my BOTM box… two months ago? And I’ve been saving it until it’s weather-appropriate to read!! That time is coming very soon ?  Two writers, who dislike each other, becoming reluctant friends and switching genres to get themselves out of their writer’s block? HELL. YES. (Goodreads | Amazon)

5. Well Met by Jen DeLuca

Well Met by Jen DeLuca is a very feminist renaissance romance, where a wench (er, she works as one) fights for the right to become a Knight (with the higher pay), even if women aren’t technically allowed. And there’s a romance <3 (Goodreads | Amazon)

6. Crier’s War by Nina Varela

All I know about this book is that people really, really, really, really love it, and it’s an f/f story! It will be my first sapphic romance, so I’m pretty hyped and I hope I’m able to get to this one! (Goodreads | Amazon)

7. Midnight Alias by Elle Kennedy

Midnight Alias is the sequel to Midnight Rescue (My Review), a romantic suspense novel. I know nothing more, but it will be a continuation in my effort to read as many Elle Kennedy books as possible this year! (Goodreads | Amazon)

8. Five Ways to Fall by K.A. Tucker

K.A. Tucker is a book I only recently rediscovered when I read Say You Still Love Me, and then when I read her newest release as an ARC, The Player Next Door(Goodreads | Amazon)

9.  The Deal by Elle Kennedy

I absolutely adored The Chase, which is the first book in the spinoff of this series. So I thought before I progress much further… I need to catch up on the OG series, which I’ve heard so much about!! I love new adult college sports romances… so this is bound to be a good hit! (Goodreads | Amazon)

10. … Call Down the Hawk by Maggie Stiefvater

This is the book I’ve been anticipating ever since 2016 when I first read The Raven Boys (I think I have that date right). If you’ve read The Raven Boys, you know all about the gang: Gansey, Noah, Blue, Adam Parrish, and Ronan Lynch. This series is all about Ronan Lynch and his strange ability!!! !!! !!! This is it guys!! This is where Pynch finally becomes a thing ?✨ Ronan was always my very favorite character of The Raven Boys series, and I cannot wait. Ms. Stiefvater’s writing in that series was a dream, and I really can’t wait to be there again! (And isn’t the paperback version glorious???) (Goodreads | Amazon)

11. The Tourist Attraction by Sarah Morgenthaler

This one just sounds so cute, I had to include it! It follows Zoey Caldwell, on her bucket list trip of two weeks in Moose Springs, Alaska. But she starts to fall specifically for the owner of The Tourist Trap, a restaurant she’s been frequenting more and more frequently… (Goodreads | Amazon)
