Forced to lie to protect her sister . . .From the New York Times Bestselling Author, Penny Reid
One week.Home alone.Girl genius.Unrepentant slacker.Big lie.What’s the worst that could happen?
Mona is a smart girl and figured everything out a long time ago. She had to. She didn’t have a choice. When your parents are uber-celebrities and you graduate from high school at fifteen, finish college at eighteen, and start your PhD program at nineteen, you don’t have time for distractions outside of your foci. Even fun is scheduled. Which is why Abram, her brother’s best friend, is such an irritant.
Abram is a talented guy, a supremely gifted musician, and has absolutely nothing figured out, nor does he seem to care. He does what he feels, when he feels, and—in Mona’s opinion—he makes her feel entirely too much.
Laws of Physics is the second trilogy in the Hypothesis series; Laws of Physics parts 1 (MOTION) & 2 (SPACE) end with a cliffhanger.

I ADORED THIS ONE SO MUCH!! As an avid Penny Reid newsletter reader (nothing is better than Ms. Reid’s newsletters), I’ve been eagerly anticipating this release and jumped at the chance to be involved in the release promotion. Ms. Reid has been slowly releasing excerpts for the past couple of newsletters and I have been going insane with want. There’s nothing that draws me in like an enemies-to-lovers romance, which is exactly what this is.

Not to mention that Parent Trap was one of my favorite movies growing up, and I’ve been a sucker for twins pretending to be each other ever since.

The main character, Mona, is the smart twin. And by “smart” I mean “went to an Ivy League college at 15-ish years old.” Lisa, the other twin, is the … more messed up twin. Drugs, sex, clubbing, messed up boyfriends, and drinking included. As the daughters of celebrities, when Lisa’s parents find out about a certain *thing* she did that would land the family in hot water if the media outlets ever found out, Lisa is grounded and ordered to return home for a parental-ordered lockdown.

She’s to go home and give her electronics to her brother’s best friend, who will be watching the house and her over the next few weeks until her parents can come back home. She’s not allowed to leave the house and especially not allowed to speak to her horrible ex-boyfriend. The problem is, Lisa is jail. So she convinces Mona to go and pretend to be her until she’s released from jail and can switch places.

AH-OH what fun this turned out to be!! Mona and Lisa are more opposite than opposites can be and watching her adorable-ness and decent-ness compete with her pretending to be Lisa was hysterical. The CLIFFHANGER HOWEVER WAS NOT FUN AND I NEED BOOK TWO IMMEDIATELY, MS. REID. PLEASE RECTIFY. However 10/10 worth it, I’m just struggling a little bit right now. *cough*

Anyway.

I definitely recommend this one. It was sweet, smart, fun, and absolutely hilarious. I was grinning the whole time, which is a trademark result of reading one of Ms. Reid’s Smart Romances. Read my review of book 2…
