Happy Valentine’s Day, Readers!

Valentine’s Day has always been one of my favorite holidays. Maybe it’s because I get to post about my favorite fictional boyfriends. Maybe it’s because you can practically smell the sweetness and heartache and cocoa in the air. Maybe it’s just because of the chocolate. (It’s totally because of the chocolate.) This year, I love it because I get to bring you exclusive sweetness!! I’ve rounded up six amazing authors to bring you love letters, from their characters! If you’ve never heard of any of these authors, well, they rock. I encourage you to get your box of chocolates, your mug of hot cocoa, curl up in a comfy chair and scroll through these letters and find some amazing reads.

If you stick around, at the end, is a giveaway by the fantastic Nalini Singh!

I’m going to quit yapping and let you get sucked in my these amazing writers and let them work their magic on you, and suck you in :)

"One thing my mother never knew, and would disapprove of most of all, was that I watched the Garretts. All the time."
The Garretts are everything the Reeds are not. Loud, messy, affectionate. And every day from her rooftop perch, Samantha Reed wishes she was one of them . . . until one summer evening, Jase Garrett climbs up next to her and changes everything.
As the two fall fiercely for each other, stumbling through the awkwardness and awesomeness of first love, Jase's family embraces Samantha - even as she keeps him a secret from her own. Then something unthinkable happens, and the bottom drops out of Samantha's world. She's suddenly faced with an impossible decision. Which perfect family will save her? Or is it time she saved herself?
A transporting debut about family, friendship, first romance, and how to be true to one person you love without betraying another.

Dear Girl on the Roof,

You don’t have to say it. I know this is kind of lame.
Ok, very lame.

But you’ll never read this, so that’s okay. I can say anything I want. I can say all those things I’ve thought and wondered about and wanted to say since the first time I saw you sitting there on the balcony of your house next door.
The first time I noticed you? Three years ago, I think. You had this telescope, and you were searching the stars with it, aiming it far up and away from here. There was a full moon, and that made your hair shine the way the stars did. Moonlight and starlight. You had this white dress on. The rest of you was just a shadow in the dark.
You glowed, though.
Jesus. I can’t even believe I wrote that.
You’re usually there at night I try not to look up but I see you anyway. You’ve pulled your knees up and you lock your arms around them, rest your chin, tilt your head. Like you are dreaming. Or wondering. Or thinking. Like I am.
Why are you there? What’s inside your house that’s taking you outside of it? Are you just mapping the night sky? Or something more than that?
Sometimes you’re there during the day, when I get home from school. You seem…Somehow smaller then. Tucked up closer. I don’t know why that happens.
I want to know.
Whenever you’re there on your roof, looking out at us…
I confess. I show off. Basketball in our driveway. Dunk it faster. Maybe you’re looking. Maybe you aren’t. Just in case.
Bottom line here:
When you’re looking, I look back. When you aren’t, I see you anyway.
I always wait for you to wave and admit that you’re noticing.
Maybe I should stop waiting and do something.

Eager to settle down with the right woman, he's got his sights set on the gorgeous redhead who seems terribly familiar. Eilish is determined to hide her secret. She'll do anything to keep her child safe, even if that means ignoring her own wishes and desires. But what happens when Bryan starts to remember? And what will it take for Bryan to convince the girl he forgot that she's unforgettable?

My dear sweet, lovely Eilish,

I was thinking about our conversation the other night, about poetry and the romantic blokes that write it. I’m not a poet or fancy with words, but for you I’ll make an exception. Here’s goes (and I’m trusting you not to share this with Sean . . . I mean it.)

Some days I’m uncertain, but then your hand finds my hand
Some days I’m weak and paper-thin, but your touch helps me remember who I am
Some days I’m tired and sore, but then I see your smile
You have the kind of eyes that makes my heart pound for miles (I need to reword this last bit, still a work in progress).

You give the kind of love that makes me the luckiest of them all
And when you’re standing next to me I feel ten feet tall
I never imagined I’d find the happiness we have in our little family
One day I hope it grows bigger, but of course, we’ll have to see (Patrick wants me to remind you here that he’d like a brother AND a sister. FYI)

I can’t express myself as eloquently as others but I’d just like to say
I wouldn’t trade our life for all the world
Happy Valentine’s Day
Yours forever and always,

Bryan

P.S. I’d draw you hearts and kisses but Patrick says you’d like this picture of Pikachu much better.
P.P.S. Have you noticed nothing rhymes with “world”? Maybe furled or curled? Whereas I can think of ten words right off the back that rhyme with duck. ;-)

"One snap with the shutter of my camera, and you will be mine forever," he whispered.
My name is Sam, short for Samantha. I’m regular, boring, and plain. The only time I can ever relax during my time in college is in photography class, or at least… It was.
That all changed when I met my new photography teacher. He is too sexy for his own good, and his mind too twisted for words to describe.
Together we tumbled into darkness, slowly spiraling out of control, and honestly...? I think I like it.

Dearest Samantha,
It’s Valentine’s Day, and I’m stuck in my studio apartment in New York, thinking of you.

I know you dislike your full name and in all honesty… That is why I wrote it. I can’t wait for you to let me know in person just how much I annoyed you by writing it. I hope it comes with a bit of the punishment we both enjoy, and I promise to give you all the love you need in return for my wrong-doings. I’ll tease you if you promise to tease me back.

I bet you’re busy cramming for your exams, Sam, and we’ve never been one of those people that considers Valentine’s Day a special event, but I guess I’m now breaking our unspoken rule by writing you this letter. Call me old school, but this feels it has more weight to it than just calling you. It gives me time to write exactly what I mean without interruption, even though I would like nothing more but to hear your beautiful voice.

I wish you were here with me and that I’d get to celebrate the odd coincidence that led us to each other.
I guess loneliness played a factor, but I’ve grown to realize that there was more to it than that. The more time I get to know you, I realize how much a fool I was never to have sought you out sooner.
You’re a true artist, Sam, and my kindred spirit. My photography bleaks in comparison to yours sometimes, and I’d lie if I wasn’t a bit jealous of your talent.

You are a beautiful creation, and so is the work you produce.

Sam… I can’t wait until you’re finished with school so that you can come to New York and be with me.
Yes… Please. Be with me.
I don’t know of your plans and I’m not one to beg, but… here I am, begging. I get to see you for a few weekends here and there, but it’s not enough for me. I want you here, by my side. Every day of the week. I can’t stop thinking of you, even when you are here. How crazy is that?
I guess that is what you make me. Crazy.
But I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Forever yours,

Aiden

A lifelong war.
Alyssa ana’Raisa is the reluctant princess heir to the Gray Wolf throne of Fells, a queendom embroiled in a seemingly endless war. Hardened by too many losses, Lyss is more comfortable striking with a sword than maneuvering at court. After a brush with death, she goes on the offensive, meaning to end the war that has raged her whole life. If her gamble doesn’t pay off, she could lose her queendom before she even ascends to the throne.
A life in peril.
Across enemy lines in Arden, young rising star Captain Halston Matelon has been fighting for his king since he was a lýtling. Lately, though, he finds himself sent on ever more dangerous assignments. Between the terrifying rumors of witches and wolfish warriors to the north and his cruel king at home, Hal is caught in an impossible game of life and death.
The shadow of defeat.

FOR YOUR EYES ONLY

To: Captain Alyssa Gray
Highlander Army of the Fells

From: Captain Halston Matelon
Imperial Army of Arden

By the time you read this, the Maker willing, I should be well over the border and on my way home.
First and foremost, I apologize in advance for any difficulties my escape may cause you vis-à-vis Queen Raisa. I hope her majesty recognizes the difficulty of your mission in the face of my determination to go home and see to the safety of my family. Your value as an officer and commander goes without saying. I speak from personal experience, having suffered two humiliating defeats at your hands on the battlefield.
May I just say there is no one that I would rather be humiliated by?
As to what happened between us at Queen’s Court Vale (here I am not referring to the battle, but to our more recent encounter, the one interrupted by Lieutenant Bosley) I cannot stop thinking about it, and if you should ever want to
I hope you’ll forgive my–
I hope you were able to put your uniform back in good order. I’ve found that soap thistle is good for taking out mudstains (blood, too.)
We are both soldiers, and a soldier’s life is cruel, perilous, and too often cut short. The hot blood rises, on and off the battlefield, and it is tempting to seize the day in whatever way we can. This thing between us—that may be all that it is.
But I think not—for my part, at least. I have never met a woman like you– (admittedly, I may have, but did not know it.) someone who could be a friend, a comrade, an adversary, a lover. Someone who has challenged me in ways I have never been challenged before. You have changed me, for the better, I believe.
You know by now that I am not adept with words. Fate has put us on opposite sides in this never-ending war. I hold in my heart the hope that one day it will be different. In the meantime, know this, Captain—whatever happens, I am on your side.

Lane Haviland can't seem to catch a break. She's dead broke, barely functioning as an adult, and completely alone in New York City. Her so-called "apartment" is a six-by-nine cell in a Brooklyn basement. And her new boss hasn't ever met a personal or professional boundary she can't bulldoze through.
Still, Lane's determined to at least attempt to claw her way back to respectability. But she can't seem to get her mysterious handyman, Viktor, out of her apartment - or her headspace. Maybe that's a good thing: Viktor's easy on the eyes, and that deep-voiced Russian accent is beyond sexy. But as he and Lane grow closer, he can no longer hide his connections with a dangerous criminal underworld - where secrets can be deadly.

Dear Sexy-Butt:

I walked by some ramen noodles at the store today and it made me think of you, and then I had the biggest, goofiest grin on my face. All I could think about was those cold winter nights with you in the basement apartment. Had to flee to Frozen Foods to cool off… but it didn’t work.

So here I am, all alone except for the big, needy dog wedged next to me on the sofa. Wondering when you’ll get home. Thinking about all the things I’ll do to drive you absolutely crazy. (In a good way.)

Hurry home,

Lane

For the books that I have read the corresponding letters made me laugh. They capture the emotions of the characters so well and gives the reader a deeper look into what is going on in their heads. I loved it!

  2. li

Reading the love letters lit the twig that started a blaze of feels, first for the books and then memories of love letters I was fortunate to receive. A lovely start to St. Valentine’s Day. Thank you.

  3. The first letter just affirms to me why Jase Garrett is my ultimate literary love! <3 He really tells everything like it is, and he is so sweet! I haven’t read any of the other books yet, but these love letters have left me intrigued! I hope you have a very Happy Valentine’s Day! :) <3

  4. Himeko

I just finished The Cad and The Co-Ed on the train! I love Bryan, Ellish and Patrick. That’s the only one I have read but I want to read Picture Me This and The Boy Next Door now. Happy Late V-day! I hope everyone had a great one.

    • Kat

I just finished it on Monday! It’s so good ? I’m glad you got some new reads recommendations :) Have a happy rest of the week ?

  5. As much as Penny Reid is one of my all-time favorite rom-com authors, it was the Huntley Fitzpatrick-penned letter that made me smile and reminisce. It’s been so long since I’ve read My Life Next Door and Jase’s letter brought me right back.

  6. Tilly

Haven’t read any of those books but will definitely check them out, loved the love letters. Thanks for the giveaway, I adore Nalini Singh, have read all her books. Xx

  7. Jadyen

Reading some of these love letters I have now added some new books to my to be read pile! I love getting glimpses into the relationship of the characters!

  8. Fatima Tariq

I love the Rock hard series!and penny reid is just awesome. All the guys in Nalini’s books are major book boyfriend material ?

  9. Kyriaki Sidira

OMG!!!! I love this book!!!! It’s my second favourite from the series! My favourite is Rock Courtship!
and my all time favourite of hers is Kiss of Snow! Thank you so much for the giveaway!!!
Now, on the article, I’m a huge believer that we should be celebrating love daily, not once a year. But if my bf was here even for this day, I’d certainly settle for a typical Valentine’s day :D

    • Kat

I agree. Rock Hard is by far my favorite but Courtship is a close second ⭐️️ I’m making my way through the Psy-Changeling series (I just finished with Riley and Mercy’s book), and I love it so far!! ❤️

      • kikitsablp89

I suck at keeping up with replies!
Our fan based Nalini group will do a PC reread to get ready for Silver Silence, so I’m currently in that world too, getting ready!!!!
I’m not very far, but hopefully I’ll make some progress this week!!! I’m glad you love those books! They are freaking amazing!
I think I can fangirl over Nalini all day long :p
Roch Hard sigh I think I have melted that paperback…….

        • Kat

Ooohhh, I can’t wait for Silver Silence!! I’m making my way through the PC’s and am hoping to finish for it’s release (HA, won’t happen, especially because I’m reading paperback and I don’t have that kind of money).
          What’s your Nalini group?
And OMG I feel you on the melting paperback. When I read it, I feel like Gabriel’s setting it on fire ;)

          • kikitsablp89

uuuummmmm I’m not sure wheter I should just write it here :p We do have Nalini’s permission, but some people don’t really like us :/ (if you can see my email, message me and I’ll tell you! :p )
OMG! Yesterday I completed books 1-10 of the PC collection, so now I’m missing only 5 books and 3 anthologies, to have a complete collection!
About the books, there is an amazing site with used books that ships almost worldwide with low shipping fees! (Again, message me and I’ll tell you all about it!) I may have rescued about 10 of Nalini’s books form there ;)
P.S. I really need to get to checking the comment responses more often!

  10. Sophia

I just love Nalini Singhs books and Rock Hard is no exception! I love how her way of writing tells the story so perfectly. I never put them down until I’ve finished reading!

  11. Donna Bossert

There is nothing that I wouldn’t do to own a signed book by Nalini Singh! I am obsessed with all her series.
Some people have skydiving or visit the pyramids on their bucket lists my list has the name of authors whoes books I want..

    • Kat

OMG SAME!!! I have a section in my calendar for author visits in mine and any surrounding states ? Nobody ever comes to Ohio, though ? I’m pretty jealous I can’t enter the giveaway myself ?

  12. Angela

Rock Hard is my favorite book in her Rock series. I love both characters and I love the fact that the hero had to work to get the heroine.

  13. Janice Kirby

I love the Rock series and all of Nalini Singhs books, I have reread them all many times and can’t wait for the next book!! ❤Each of her books grab onto your emotions from start to finish and never disappoint!!

    • Kat

I know! The feels in her books… AHH! I have dedicate a day for each of her books because I get so obsessed and pulled in. Pretty sure I’ve read Rock Hard like 8 times now ?

  14. I miss the boys from the Rock Kiss Series so much, can’t wait for the Bishop Boy’s Stories! Rock Kiss was the Series that brought me to Nalini’s wonderful books! I’m always in conflict if I should read them in one day or little by little, so they last longer. In the end I never can lay them down before I finish them!

  15. Rimen

Halston’s letter was so sweet and heartbreaking. I hate it when thee lovers belong to warring countries, but now I’m so curious to know what happens at the end( fingers crossed that it’s a happy ending!! :) )
and I love Nalini’s books!!! Rock hard is my favourite among her Rock Kiss series I forgot how many times I reread it :D

    • Kat

I loved Shadowcaster, you’ll love it too, I promise ❤️ Cinda is SOO talented :) Rock Hard is the best, I’ve read it… what, over ten times now?? LOL I’ve lost track ?

  16. Melissa Sezin Schanz

Anything for a signed Nalini Singh book. Especially when it comes to Rock Hard my favorite as for now. I haven’t read any of the books you recommended and couldn’t find any interesting one for me this week but I’ll keep checking in the future.

    • Kat

I’m sorry you didn’t like any of them. If you love Nalini Singh, you’ll probably get just as obsessed with Kristen Ashely books.

  17. Rosario Lucas

I loved the Rock Kiss series, all of the books …. as I love all Nalini Singh series … such different series, but all of them so good … I hope NS continues to write for many years and create new worlds for us to enjoy

    • Kat

Plenty of sweetness there! My Life Next Door is a YA contemporary and is probably the sweetest. But the Cad and the CoEd and Rock Hard are close seconds :)

  18. Janina K

I haven’t read any of these books but my TBR pile just grew. Now I have to decide which one to read first.

  19. Zsofia T

On this evening, not long after Valentine’s Day:
Let’s hope to win this awesome giveaway.
Lusting after a favorite – Rock Kiss in print,
Even as we count down to Silver and Valentin.
Happy week for everyone! (Read the initials of my lines from bottom to top) ;)

  20. Diane Sadler

When you’ve been married a long time, you forget the love you felt and take it for granted. Reading these love letters brought back the feelings you thought were forgotten. They never were forgotten but just put away in a box at the back of the closet of your mind. Thanks for the reminder!

    • Kat

No problem! That’s just what I was going for :) Everyday is a celebration of love, but Valentine’s Day is just the day to remember how lucky you are to have it :)

  21. Keshia

Lane’s letter was so funny! And Rock Hard is my favorite book out of the Rock Kiss series (high 5), so I’m really excited you are hosting this giveaway. Was reading an earlier comment, and noticed you are from Ohio? I’m in Ohio too. Nalini Singh Ohio fans unite!

  22. Stephanie H

    Dear Kat,
I too am a tad bit intensely focused on all of Nalini’s stories, I’ve been with her since her Desire stories for Hqn.

These love letters are adorable, especially Aiden’s.

    Thank you for the chance!
    Stephanie H
    #professionalromancefan

  23. Melanie Vaudrin

Came here solely to check out the draw from Nalini but now I’m curious about checking out a book or two. Well Shadowcaster I’ll definitely be looking into at least. As for Rock Hard, while I adore all of Nalini’s books (most rate up there as my favourites of all time) Rock Hard is by far my favourite contemporary romance books period. Can’t wait till we get to see into the lives of the rest of those rugby loving guys :)

    • Kat

I know!! Rock Hard is tied for first as favorite contemporary… I’ve read it, oh, over ten times now? Shadowcaster is so good, I loved it! It’s book two in the Shattered Realms series but I recommend reading the Seven Realms series first by her to get the full effect. They’re both some of my favorite YA fantasy series! ❤️

  24. flchen1

I haven’t read any of these titles yet but a lot of the letters made me smile and decide to add them to the ever-growing TBR! What a fun way to meet more possible book boyfriends ;) I’d better get reading before the list gets even longer, LOL!

    • Kat

OMG, yes on the book boyfriend front! (Don’t tell Hal and Bryan) but Gabriel Bishop from Rock Hard is my soul mate ❤️

  25. Lisa Thedy

This is one of my favorite books by Nalini Singh. She handles the subject of date rape and abuse in a realistic manner while still letting the hero and heroine find their HEA.

    • Kat

I know! I was so impressed when I first read this book. It’s was directed with care and delicacy yet still hit it right on the head in terms of confidence and reality. Ah! It’s so good, it’s one of my favorites in general ❤️

  26. Rebecca

I love Nalini Singh’s books. They are my escape when writing my dissertation overwhelms me. I thought your list was wonderful and will be adding them to my reading pile.

  27. Hope Taylor

Rock Hard is an amazing book in a series that I just loved reading the ebooks. It would be extra special to have a hard copy. I am reading and thoroughly enjoying The Cad and the Co-Ed– Brian’s poem is so him! Shadowcaster sounds really fun– I shall have to check it out (that is some fascinating letter).

    • Kat

I know right! When Penny first sent me Bryans letter I flipped out I was so excited… it sounded just like him! And Shadowcaster is absolutely amazing… it’s book #2 in the shattered Realms series, but I recommend reading the seven realms series first so you get the full effect. Both series by Cinda are some of my favorite YA fantasy ever :)

  28. Janice

Hi, I couldn’t get interested in the books listed above but I do LOVE anything written by Nalini Singh. In fact I just finished power reading her Rock Kiss Series and LOVED IT!!! I will continue to read everything she writes. ❤❤??

    • Kat

You should! The Psy-changeling series by her is ?? !!! If you love Nalini Singh, you should probably check out Kristen Ashley books. You’ll probably get just as obsessed with her and she has so many books out, they’ll keep you busy with love ❤️

  29. Thank you for running this giveaway! I am entering for my best friend, because she is the biggest Nalini Singh fan I know, and I love her very much. ❤ I look forward to reading Nalini soon! Last year, I had my friends choose my TBR list, and my bestie picked Nalini, so I will HAVE to read her eventually!! ? Thank you again!!

  30. Megan Burton

This was a great little project. I love getting sneak peeks of couples I loved, after their HEA at the end of their book! It’s always nice to visit them later on in their life together!

  31. Mary Terry

I haven’t read any of these authors, and I was just thinking it was time to expand my horizons again. These love letters were intriguing. Thanks for sharing. I’ve got some more reading to do.

  32. (Spoilers ahoy!)

    (no really, SPOILERS!)

Hard Rock is my favorite of Ms Singh’s Rock Kiss series; I love how Charlie’s issues w/PTSD are not magically solved simply because Gabriel is a sex god. Yes, I like some fantasy in my romance, but I really enjoy it when real life issues are done well.

    • Kat

I know, right??? Singh managed to deal with Charlie’s PTSD delicately, confidently and completely realistically. The journey she went through and the cost/helplessness of Gabriel really made this book what it is, which is AWESOME ? Plus their office banter ?

  33. Susie

Love, Love, Love anything Nalini Singh writes! I was introduced to Raphael and Elena and The Guild Hunter Series and my love affair with Nalini’s books was heavily embedded by the end of Angels Blood. I went on a binge through the series and then onto the Rock Kiss Series. Wow ? Couldn’t put them down. And now the Psy/Changeling Series has taken over my life, consuming every free minute I have. I’m sure my husband despises Nalini and her books ?

  34. alex310795

I think I just fell in love a few times while reading these love letters. I definitely have to get me these books ;)
I didn’t have the chance to read Rock Hard yet but I’m sure it’s another wonderful story (I mean it’s written by Nalini so it has to be great…).

  35. Sofia Fisher

OMG!!!! I LOVE Rock Hard. Favourite Nalini novel and one of my favourite books ever! I’ve also read it several times since the first time and enjoy it so much! I had to enter this for even the smallest chance at winning this book and getting it into my hands of another reread. ❤️

  36. Anita Rokas

Thank you for the giveaway and the love letters. I love all the books of Nalini Singh and Penny Reid. That’s why I loved to read the love letter from Bryan to Eilish. I’m currently reading the Cad and the Co-Ed ad I love it. I try to slow my reading space to prolong the ending. It has so many feels. Rock Hard had also many feels. I loved it and hope that we’re going to see the guys in further books as well. I’m not ready to let them go yet.

  37. Deana Brittenden

Rock Hard is one of my absolute favourite novels – in fact I started re-reading it last night! I honestly have no idea how many times I’ve read it (thank heavens it’s an ebook, otherwise I’m sure it would be falling apart ?) but still enjoy it just like the first time!

    • Kat

Oh I feel. I have a paperback copy and… yeah. It’s falling apart ? this post is seriously making me want to reread it again….

  38. Ange

I’d love to know what your other favourite contemporary is, as for me Rock Hard killed it. I may possibly be biased however, as A, I read very little contemporary and B, I absolutely ADORE every word Nalini Singh writes.

  39. Angela Allen

I love the Rock Kiss series. Rock Hard and Rock Addiction are my favourite two books in the series. Rock Hard because I love the strength of Charlotte’s strength. I love Rock Addiction because of Molly.

  40. zenap57

I just finished reading Rock Wedding. I enjoyed it immensely. I loved how the characters were fully developed. I could see myself socializing with all the couples.

  41. Cassie May

I love Nalini Singh. From her rock kiss series to the pay-changing and finally to her Archangel series. If you want an awesome read pick up any of her books and teleport to a new world.

    • Kat

Seriously, right??? All these comments are making me want to get back into the world … so I picked up the next Psy book LOL ?

  42. Priscila

    Hello!

Loved the letters! Since there are some books I haven’t picked up to read yet, it looks as if I’m going to be doing some shopping! Hahaha
Loved this post, btw, the idea of Valentine’s letters was pretty good! Always looking forward to read little snippets by good authors.
I absolutely love Nalini Singh’s books, so I’m sure this one is not going to be different. Crossing my fingers here! ;)

    • Kat

Yes, yes, yes!! Rock Hard is Nalini’s best book (in my opinion) ? I’m so glad you enjoyed the post! It certainly made my Valentine’s Day ?

  43. Tiffany

I’m a huge fan of Nalini Singh’s! I love the Archangel series and have not yet started the Rock Kiss series and would love to start with this book! Thanks!

  44. Christine

OMG! What is there not to like about anything written by Nalini Singh! She’s awesome!!! Every book is always better than the last one! She is an auto buy for me. I’m very anxiously waiting for her next books in any of her series! If you haven’t tried her yet you should!

    • Kat

Definitely an auto-buy!!! I absolutely adore all of her books… and am in the midst of collecting all her Psy books (and generally throwing my book budget out the window LOL ?)

  45. Amy Ryan

I loving the Love Letters the My Life Next door letter had me sighing, then the Picture Me This letter piqued my interest and then right as I get to the end of the letters I burst out laughing with one line “Hi Sexy Butt” so yep I know exactly which one I’m gonna read straight away! Lol

I’m a huge fan of Nalini Singh her books are so full of emotion! I wish I had my own Hawke ?

  46. Khea L.

Definitely gonna be checking these books out! Awesome giveaway too! Nalini Singh’s books are an absolute fave and are always on top of my to-read-again-and-again list :)

  47. Fiza

The Cad and the Co-Ed is one I’ve read and is awesome but I was more interested in Shadowcaster here. I didn’t know about it but I want to read it now! Plus that cover is absolutely stunning :D

    • Kat

Isn’t it? They changed the covers recently but I don’t like them half as much. Shadowcaster is book 2 in the Shattered Realms series, but I recommend reading the Seven Realms series by her first to really understand Shattered Realms. They’re both absolutely amazing, I’m positive you’ll love them!!! Raisa and Han from the Seven Realms are so badass and awesome (especially in the last two books, which are by far the best) and the same is said for all the characters in the Shattered Realms ??

  48. OMG I read My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick years ago and I love it. The DRAMA! And Jase! I loved him soooo much. I will try the other books I like recommendations.
And of course I love Nalini, her Psy-Changeling series are my favorite paranormal books. She just creates these worlds so perfectly I wish they were real. I love paranormal genre but contemporary too so the Rock Hard series is a must.

    • Kat

Rock Hard is definitely a must!!! It’s one of my favorite contemporary books EVER ? Nalini Singh is a goddess, there’s no other explanation ?

  49. Anne Hardy

I haven’t read any of the books mentioned in this blog, other than Rock Hard. Nalini Singh is one of my favourite authors and I’ve read almost all of her works, some more than once. She has managed to create two believable paranormal worlds, and also to write good contemporary romances, in the Rock Kiss series. All of her heroes and heroines are strong, distinct characters who grow and develop in the stories. In the Archangel series, I particularly like Archangel’s Storm, Archangel’s Shadows and Archangel’s Enigma and am looking forward to Archangel’s Viper. My favourite of the Rock Kiss series is Rock Courtship, as I like the development of the romance through the exchange of memos. Not many writers can carry something like that out well.

    • Kat

I know! Nalini Singh is definitely one of kind. She’s so talented in her writing … gah I could go on LOL ? I loved the memos in Courtship, too!!! Melted me in a puddle of gooey adorableness ❤️

  50. Jenni Dokken

Omg the biggest disappointment here was that there was no love letter from Gabriel to Charlotte. I admit I scrolled all the way through looking for it before I went back and read the whole post :). However it was great to get inside the heads of the other characters and catch a glimpse of their thoughts and feelings. Have a few new books to add to my too-read pile now.

  51. For as we live, we breathe, we learn that there is nothing stronger than love!
I’ve lived & loved through all Nalini’s wonderful books. My go to series remains Guild Hunter, where each love is as beautiful & different & unique as the angels wings. I adore the depth & strength of Elena & Raphael passion, the damage love helps to heal with others like Ashwini & Janiver, or the personal doubts & insecurities overcome, love truly given wings with Jessamy & Galen. Yet when I want to rock out & get a little raunchy… oh hell yeh there is nothing like a tattooed ‘Rock Kiss’ … & dream of a Foxy guy standing up & calling me ‘his Molly’ <3

    • Kat

I love this! My favorite is “Miss Molly”, myself ;)
I started Guild Hunter years ago and got two books in, I don’t know why I never finished! I really need to go back and read them–after I finished the Psy, of course.

  52. After reading these letters i am definitely adding books to my tbr pile. I am such a romance junkie and Nalini Singh is one of the best romance authors out there be it paranormal or contemporary. fingers crossed

    • Kat

I thought so, too! Getting a glimpse to the good stuff through letters is much more interesting than a 3rd person summary blurb :) so glad you liked them!

  53. J Brink

    I love Rock Hard!
I haven’t heard of any of the love-letter books, but now I’m interested in trying a few, especially rugby one and the Cinda Williams Chima series, as I really enjoyed one of her previous series. Thanks for the recommendations!

    • Kat

No problem! I’d recommend reading the Seven Realms by Cinda Williams China before the Shattered Realms… both are VERY good :)
Gabriel Bishop is my soulmate ?

  54. Lucy Green

I haven’t read any of these books yet, but now I’m excited to read them all! I’m obsessed with Nalini Singh and this giveaway looks amazing! Xxx

    • Kat

It does, doesn’t it! I’m super jealous :) Nalini Singh is the bomb! I hope you love some of these other books! They really are fantastic :)

  55. Ok, I only just saw this and it’s great. I love the love letters from these guys and although some are a bit spoilery, I love it and now I found a few new guys to add to my TBR Harem. Yum!

  56. I just read a favorable review of The Cad and the Co-Ed by Penny Reid and LH Conway, so I think this is a sign to buy it! Thanks for the chance to win!

    • Kat

Definitely! My very favorable review will be up on the 9th for the Blog Tour. It really is very good, highly recommended! :)

  57. Laura G

I can binge read the Rock Kiss books over and over. I made sure our digital public library had copies too. They are often checked out.

    • Kat

LOL, me too :) I finally broke and bought the paperback copies, because I was spending more on gas for the library ?

  58. Anita Rókás

I came here to read Bryans love letter to Eilish, but was really surprised to see a giveaway by my other favourite author Nalini Singh. And what coincidence, I’m currently rereading Rock Hard. I only have a digital copy, and would love to have a physical one.

    • Kat

They’re beautiful paperbacks, and thanks for commenting! Unfortunately the giveaway was from last year, but I hope you love Rock Hard! It’s one of my favorites :)
